우리나라에선 CF에 삽입된 On the Radio, 훈석님이 소개했던 500일의 썸머 의 Us 라는 노래로 알려져 있죠.
피아노를 치면서 노래를 부르는 모습이 익숙한 레지나 스펙터는 두 개의 정규 앨범을 내고 뉴욕에서 주로 라이브 활동을 하고 있는뮤지션 입니다.

오늘은 레지나 스펙터의
Samson, Oedipus 와 같은 그리스 신화에서 소재를 가져온 노래를 가져왔어요.
On the radio나 Fidelity, Us 와 같은 귀엽고 사랑스러운 노래를 부를 때 외에
또 다른 일면이 보이는 노래들 입니다.

저는 개인적으로 Oedipus 라는 노래를 재미있게 들었는데요,
다소 실험적으로 보이는 구조여서 생소하게 들릴 수도 있지만
그럼에도 불구하고 레지나 스펙터가 자연스럽게 노래를 부르는 느낌이 들어서 좋아합니다.
제멋대로 피아노를 가지고 놀면서 가사와 노래를 부드럽게 엮어가는 모습이라던가 -
직접 쓴 가사도 좋구요.

실제 목소리도 노래 부를 때의 목소리와 많이 다르지 않은 귀여운 목소리에요. 
가수의 조건에는 스타성, 가창력, 이미지 등 여러가지가 필요하겠지만
레지나 스펙터의 경우에는 목소리도 그 중에 하나 인 것 같습니다.
